Parent & Baby classes are held on Monday lunchtimes and Saturday mornings.
These classes are for babies of 6 months to 3 yrs.
Babies are introduced to the water with instruction based on movement and play.
We strive to make the babies feel comfortable and relaxed with an aim to give them
confidence in the water and to learn swimming skills that they can take with them
as they grow up and into later life.
Pre-school classes are for 3 to 4½ year olds and
are held on Tuesday lunchtime and Saturday mornings.
These lessons are a natural progression from the baby classes.
The lessons are designed to promote confidence in the water.
Toddlers can learn through play and water safety to a point
where they can progress to the next level.
Crash Courses are generally held during the Easter and Summer Holidays.
The course consists of 5x30 minute morning lessons
and is designed to improve water confidence and technique.
The Course is open to children of all ages and abilities.
A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course.

Fun Swims are generally held during the Easter and Summer Holidays.
During fun swims children can enjoy themselves and have fun with the inflatables.
Under 5's and infant children must be accompanied by an adult.

We offer childrens Birthday Pool Parties on Saturday afternoons.
For 1½ hrs the children can have fun with the inflatables and organized games.
To conform with safety standards, there must be a maximum of 24 children in the pool with a minimum ratio of 1 parent to 8 children if the children are under 5.
Over 8's do not need a parent in the water with them.
Leigh North Street Swim School was formed in 2004 by Jan Beresford.
Jan has been one of Leigh North Street School's swimming teachers for over 20 years and recognizing the demand for
well structured swimming lessons, decided to open the Swim School at lunchtimes, after school and Saturdays.
Leigh North Street Swim School continues to build on it's
success with a number of swimmers going on to local swimming clubs.
